Inclusive vs. Exclusive Architecture

  • Exclusive (Adding Tax): Use this when your catalog prices do not contain tax. The engine mathematically appends the tax rate on top of your base parameter.
  • Inclusive (Extracting Tax): Use this if you receive a flat payment and must determine how much of that total belongs to the government. The engine calculates the embedded base cost.

Jurisdictional Protocols

  • Intra-State (CGST / SGST): For transactions within the same local state, the algorithm dynamically splits the tax burden 50/50 between Central and State allocations.
  • Inter-State (IGST): Check the "Inter-State" override if you are billing a client outside your registered state. The tax consolidates into a single Integrated ledger.
  • RCM Protocol: If Reverse Charge Mechanism is invoked, the algorithm zeroes the invoice tax, shifting the remittance liability entirely to the buyer.
